This mech is designed for infiltration and sabotage missions. Terrain permitting, it can burrow deep into enemy territory and either destroy supplies or make hit and run assaults on unwary soldiers, whilst evading conventional detection systems. The demoralisation to enemy troops upon the discovery of severely mutilated comrades and ominous holes in the ground goes without saying.
It can be fitted with various tail attachments, depending on its mission; automated anti-air gun emplacements, fuel/air bombs or heavy assault blades to further increase its close combat effectiveness etc.
Extendable legs can deploy to reduce loss of mobility if the surface cannot be slithered across.
